As part of his tour of the United States, the governor-elect visited the facilities of the SkyBridge Arizona Aerospace Park, located at the Phoenix-Mesa Gateway Airport, a customs dedicated to the transport of goods by air to make the exchange more efficient and profitable. of goods between the United States and Mexico.
“In my government we will strengthen the commercial relationship with our friends and commercial partners and we will position the Arizona-Sonora Megaregion as a world-class logistics and distribution center to achieve the economic relaunch of our state,” declared Durazo Montaño.
The possible creation of SkyBridge Sonora was analyzed to take advantage of the strategic position and infrastructure of the Phoenix and Ciudad Obregón airports and improve the distribution of air cargo and specialized products.
The governor-elect also visited the Urbix company, founded by Eduardo González and Nicolás Cuevas from Sonora, specialized in the purification of graphite to reduce the cost of electric car batteries. There, the next president proposed to turn Sonora into a manufacturing center for electric batteries, taking advantage of the enormous lithium reserves that the entity has.
