Netflix adds a much-loved actress to the fourth season of Stranger Things | Chronicle

Almost two years after the premiere of the last season of Stranger Things, the creators of the acclaimed series announced the new characters to join the cast. Within the framework of Geek Week, the multiplatform event of Netflix bringing exclusive content from all things nerd, the brothers Duffer introduced the new additions from the set of Stranger Things.

The main surprise was announced by the creators themselves, who appeared in a video promoting the participation of Amybeth McNulty in the new season of the series. McNulty rose to stardom for his starring role in Anne with an E, another Netflix series that adapted the novel Anne of Green Gables, from Lucy Maud Montgomery.

According to the creators, McNulty will enter the role of Vicky, “a great nerd of the school band that talks fast and catches the attention of one of our beloved heroes“The 19-year-old Irish-Canadian young actress said she was”very excited to join, and be on the Other Side“.

McNulty was not the only addition announced: official Netflix networks welcomed Hawkins to Myles Truitt in the role of the basketball player Patrick, a popular athlete who suffers the consequences of a dark incident, Regina Ting Chen as the Srta. In November 2020 we met the new adults who will also join the cast of Straner Things, where we now find two ex Game Of Thrones (Tom Wlaschiha, who played Jaqen H’ghar, and Joseph Quinn, who was Private Koner) and nothing more and nothing less than Robert Englund, who acted as Freddy Krueger in Nightmare in Elm street.

What do we know about season 4 of Stranger Things

With its filming delayed by the pandemic from Covid, many details of the new season are not yet known. Big plot details are being kept under lock and key, but in February 2020 a short trailer released on Valentine’s Day revealed that Hopper (David Harbor) is still alive.

The footage shows the sheriff working in the cold of Kamchatka, Russia, where he is imprisoned. Increasing speculation among fans, the Duffer brothers announced that the new installment of the series will explore the world beyond Hawkins.

A second trailer showed the Hawkins Laboratory facilities, where more children with powers similar to Eleven they are supervised by men and women in white coats. The short clip promises new glimpses into El’s past.

Like all previous editions, the fourth will be a love letter to the 80s. We will follow the group of old friends, who left the screen separated by a move, and we will see how they have matured, an element that will be the central axis of the new episodes. The new season is expected to premiere sometime in 2022.
