As of June 2, 2022 Lufthansa will add a new destination in the United States from Frankfurt, its most important hub in Germany. The company plans to operate twice a week to Anchorage, in the state of Alaska, in Airbus A340-300 configured with 279 seats in three classes.
With this schedule of operations Lufthansa will offer 558 weekly seats between Frankfurt and Anchorage and vice versa. If these flights finally start, the company will be the only one to operate non-stop between both airports.
According to the first reports, Lufthansa will have flights to Anchorage during the summer season 2022. Between September and October they would be the last operations from Frankfurt.
