IndyCar qualifying before Detroit double race

Alex Palou, which began its second season in the IndyCar (the first with the set Chip Ganassi) with triumph in Alabama, regained the lead in the sixth round of the season, in the mythical Indianapolis 500, by finishing in a historic second position. The Catalan rider thus reaches the seventh and eighth races of the season, which will be held this weekend (Saturday and Sunday) at the Detroit GP, the last double event of the course.

Palou leads with a total of 248 points, with a win at Alabama, a 17th place in St. Peterspurg, a fourth place in the Texas Olavo, where in the second race he was 7th, a third position in the Indy GP, and finally, a historic second position in the Indy500.

In total, the Catalan has 248 points, with 36 advantage over Scott Dixon (212) and 37 on Patrico O’Ward (211), with Simon Pagenaud in fourth place with 201 points.
