The story of a Canadian writer from the life of the Indians of the far North, full of dangers and hardships associated with both the harsh laws of nature and the injustice of white fur traders. In the far Canadian North lives the family of a young Indian hunter named Granite Cliff. This family includes not only the hunter’s wife and little son, his brother and brother’s wife, but also the amusing tame bear Mister Jim, everyone’s favorite and faithful assistant on the hunt. Because of him, all the dramatic events of the story “Karkadzhu”, named after the merciless predator, the wolverine, are played out.
