I am fortunate to be an experienced sailor, and I published, in early October, on a social network, a post in which I was sharing my research, a sailboat that would leave Australia for New Zealand. I found a 44ft catamaran, between NSW and Opua. The navigation lasted 10 days, a committed navigation, the Tasman Sea is not known for its calm winds, even in spring. But making this crossing turned out to be easier than trying to circumvent the strict rules put in place by governments to protect populations from Covid-19.
